One of the news channels just showed a ticker regarding the weak eye sight of the PIC who is a 61 year old guy. He was hired again on contract after he got retired an year ago.

Can't blame his eyesight as you can't see the wings of the 777 from the cockpit

WOW this shows the level of professionalism in our media. The incident costed PIA one million dollars, according to Dunya News channel.

Dunya News channel also reporting weak eye sight of PIA flight PK-789 captain.
Maybe Canadian authorities during general medical check up/fitness test of the pilot found something wrong with his eye sight even if it's not directly related to the incident?
