PIA Fleet List

Post by subhan27 »

Could somebody tell me the difference between Wet & Dry Lease term used in Aviation.
How many & which aircraft are in the company now.
Which European cities does PIA serve at present.
Many thanks.

Dry lease is long term hiring of aircraft in which you only receive the airplane. You are responsible for training your crew to operate it, maintain it.

Wet lease is a short term hiring in which alongwith aircraft, you get the cockpit & cabin crew etc. You pay per hour for operating the aircraft to the one who has leased you.

You can look up on google or wikipedia for number of aircraft active in PIA.

As of now, following cities in Europe are being served by PIA:

Milan
Barcelona
Paris
Copenhagen
Oslo

Not mentioning UK since they are not european anymore

Last time I looked at the atlas United Kingdom was still in Europe (for that matter UK is still a full member of European Union till the formal exit takes place in a couple of years). Being part of European Union and being part of Europe geographically are two different issues.
