Or did PIA give the A310 to Leipzig Halle Airport in exchange for landing/takeoff slots/traffic rights at the airport?

Honestly I would guess that it will remain at the Airports "own museum" named Aero Park - meaning in front of the terminal where visitors and passangers can see it. Maybe it should also serve as an advertisement form for PIA.
If Iam correct one Ilushin IL-18W is parked there right now.
If that is the case Abbas pointed out that this might have been given in exchange for landing rights, i personally belive it is a good deal. You get cheaper bills on landing/services, also get to advertise yourself. A win-win. Too bad typically the pathetic and uninformed mentality of Pakistanis is gonna make this an issue.

Selling cheap was not real issue as nothing was left in the Aircraft. Renting for controversial movie which is not aligned with national policy of Pakistan was an issue.
Remember, Pakistan is among countries of the world who doesn't recognize Israel as State, which is also written on our Passports too, so, any functionary of state can't take decision at their own which is not aligned with national policy.
I am pretty sure PIA board wouldn't be that stupid to allow it while the aircraft is under PIA. It might be the act of museum. Once the aircraft is handed to them, they decide what they want to do. It's like feeling guilty for an accident caused by someone else's driving to whom you had sold your car.
