PK 702 18 Dec Diverted to KHI

PK 702 on 18 dec bound for ISB diverted to KHI. A relative on board later informed that about 30 mins before landing, when the plane was over Bannu, capt announced diversion to khi for operational reasons.
Cabin crew later informed passengers that there is no parking available at ISB. Flight landed in khi after two hrs, pax disembarked and flew to isb onboard another b777 after a 2 hour stay at khi.
If indeed it was a parking issue, shouldn't LHE be a better option.

PIA Boeing 777-240ER registration AP-BGJ was performing that Manchester to Islamabad flight PK-702, according to information on flightradar24.com.

The B777 landed at Karachi Airport as PK-702 at 11:47 AM on December 18 and since then has not returned to the skies.

Later that day, from Karachi PIA Boeing 777-2Q8ER registration AP-BMH departed at 2:07 PM as flight PK-702 and landed at Islamabad at 3:37 PM.

Maybe AP-BGJ developed some technical fault?
