Six PIA ATRs cleared for flight operations by Pakistan CAA so far.

Two ATRs remain to be cleared for flight operations.

PIA ATR 42-500 registration AP-BHH photographed on February 11, 2017, at Panjgur Airport where it had arrived as flight PK-517 from Karachi.

AP-BHH delivered to PIA as brand new aircraft in May 2006 is the first and oldest ATR in PIA fleet.

I heard on "Khara Such" program that AP-BHH has had technical issues again while in flight and brakes failure on landing.......is this true?

Seems ATRs are not out of trouble.....feel sorry for those that have to travel on it

Khara sach type of program is not to be taken seriously. All aircraft experience faults in service. Relax

According to news sources, surprise checks were performed by CAA on six ATRs of PIA. Four aircraft were cleared to perform flights.

why just ATRs, CAA should check randomly the fleet of all operators registered and operating in Pakistan including PIA, Shaheen Air, Airblue & Serene Air, if random checks are throughout the year, the maintenance level will be raised and the equipment will be well maintained and fit for each flight takes off.

According to PIA spokesperson statement on new channels, each ATR aircraft takes around thirty minutes to get such surprise check completed.

Four aircraft got clearance after checks. Two other aircraft undergoing checks.

I think these are the six PIA ATRs that got clearance to perform flights sometime ago.
