Re: PIA ATR missing near Abbotabad
This is crazy. The site of crash should be sealed and controlled, not allowing random people to pick just about anything.
Only authorized personale should be allowed.
Also does PIA aircraft have insurance? Will they get money to buy new one and also pay compensation to victims (50 lakh, covered under insurance)?

LiveATC audio: http://asndata.aviation-safety.net/file ... -1100Z.mp3
PK661 can be heard a few times, though very difficult to understand. It's the file from 1100-1130Z (1600:1630 LT)
There is a brief transmission at 12:00 into the recording and 18:13 regarding transponder squawk code.
At 22:00 there a clearance to land or PK661 from the controller.
Any additions welcome.

AP-BHO was damaged at LHE on 30/05/09 on landing .....
A Pakistan International Airlines ATR-42 was substantially damaged when it suffered a runway excursion while landing at Lahore Airport (LHE) runway 36R.
The airplane ran off the runway, skidded 2,000 feet, slid across a two feet deep drainage ditch, and finally came to rest on the left edge of the parallel runaway 36L. The nose gear and main undercarriage had collapsed.

Re: PIA ATR missing near Abbottabad
May be tow prob atonce, after engine loss got ..Wind Shear..? At day time with good weather EGPWS is not a big issue even there is some prob with this sys . There is some media report that DFDR will be read out in France but what about CVR ? I do,nt think PCAA or PIA do,nt have facility to down load it . If CVR is not damaged , it very easy , Jut need software on omputer to do it . To many things will be clear after listing recording of CVR.

Re: PIA ATR missing near Abbottabad
There are videos being shared on social media showing the burnt bodies of some passengers. It is absolutely disgraceful. Shame on those Pakistan public who are doing this.
It sickens me how some people can do that.

25:00 onwards there is silence from PK 661 . Before that presumably they delcared Mayday but the recorder missed it
