Maybe you are a pilot yourself, but do not forget flight crew error is the major cause of air crashes worldwide, so do not rule it out pleaseraihans wrote:i hope the investigation will be transparent and not under any influence to save the culprits and there will not be blame game on flight crew who are no more among us to defend them-self

Folks here are ignoring the 800 pound gorilla of pilot-ibn-e-pilot-ibn-e-pilot inbred genetic disorder limiting the gene/talent pool of competent pilots getting into the airline.
The Multan Fokker crash was pilot error, so was the Airblue Islamabad crash...and I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case with this latest PIA ATR crash.

Really easy to sit at home and say whatever you want but i suggest that you keep your foreign language terminology to yourself and stay quiet till the official investigation is over.Che wrote:Folks here are ignoring the 800 pound gorilla of pilot-ibn-e-pilot-ibn-e-pilot inbred genetic disorder limiting the gene/talent pool of competent pilots getting into the airline.

P.S Please tell me where in the market are "competent pilots" available?

PIA Clarification
Karachi; December 16, 2016 - Reference media reports claiming there were technical problems in the engine of the ATR that crashed on December 7, it is reiterated that maintenance of PIA aircraft is done as per manuals at proper times in accordance with international standards.
It has already been explained that the aircraft did not have any known defect at the time of takeoff from Chitral and some problem developed on the way. As a routine practice engines of aircraft are checked before every flight and same was done in this case. Engines of ATR aircraft are also changed as per manuals.
The matter is being investigated by an independent body, and media is requested to refrain from speculation as it can mislead the public.

3 of the perished passengers were foreigners, 2 Austrian and 1 Chinese; what has been done so far for them? Has PIA arranged their next of Kin to bring them to Islamabad, Pakistan for further procedures?
