Apparently it says the flight was from Delhi to Doha. Doesn't mention which carrier though, although only says "private"

Re: Indian carrier lands in KHI for medical emergency
Apparently the aircraft stayed at Karachi Airport for more than seven hours. Maybe stay extended in Karachi due to weather/visibility situation in Delhi?
According to information on following link, Jet Airways Boeing 737-85R registration VT-JGU performing flight 9W-202 from Delhi to Doha landed at Karachi Airport at 1:33 AM on November 8. The B737 departed from Karachi at 8:46 AM to return to Delhi.

Source: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/indi ... 308625.cmsA passenger travelling in a Jet Airways flight from here to Doha passed away onboard despite the plane being diverted to Karachi following the medical emergency.
Even as the flight was diverted and medical assistance duly coordinated prior to arrival at Karachi airport, "the guest succumbed on arrival in Karachi," according to Jet Airways.
The incident happened on flight 9W 202 that departed from the national capital late night on Monday.
After the passenger developed a "medical condition", the captain decided to land the flight at Karachi, the nearest airport given the emergency, Jet Airways said in a statement.
According to the airline, the aircraft is returning to the national capital and the staff are making full arrangements to hand over the body to the authorities as per standard operating procedures.
As many as 141 passengers were on board the Boeing 737 aircraft.

AoA Abbas, Why couldn't aircraft carry on with its journey to Doha? Is it somewhat related to crew duty time restriction? And whats the SOP for death on board?

The aircraft's flight from Delhi to Karachi took nearly three hours and then it stayed at Karachi for more than seven hours making a total of over ten hours. So, maybe the crew was reaching some sort of duty time limitation.
Haven't found explanation why instead of resuming flight to Doha the aircraft stayed at Karachi even after the passenger was declared dead apparently soon after landing.
