in my opinion, Quota system should be demolished and only merit i.e. the top numbers should be selected/short listed for further evaluation with final numbers as required
good luck to all who are waiting anxiously to join PIA, Great People to Fly With

Re: PIA Cadet Pilot Program 2016
Cancerous and discriminatory Quota system is taking toll on Pakistan. Imagine if you have all 25 candidates selected on Merit from different parts of Pakistan. Literally, they will be the Great People to Fly with.
Fortune favours brave.

Re: PIA Cadet Pilot Program 2016
Merit system helps for places where education level is not at parity.
Imagine someone comes from Balochistan, then his kids too will become pilot. His neighbours will take note and maybe their kids will choose to become pilot.
Whereas if quota system was not in place, we may not have a pilot from Balochistan in foreseeable future. Mostly it will be people from Punjab, due to high population and higher education as other 2 provinces.

Written test results made available on NTS website on the 26th.

Any info on how long will it take PIA to shortlist candidates and dispatch interview letters?

Re: PIA Cadet Pilot Program 2016
Results of written test were made available online on NTS website (link provided in one of the posts above). For the first time PIA had nothing to do with the written test, it was conducted by NTS which is an independent authority. Results were made available to candidates there and then as it was a computerized test and also made available on NTS website at a later date. Having said that, one cannot rule out sifarish/political appointment culture in PIA.
Can you please share link to the story? or if you could remember what date it was published on?
