they flew 7 daily. not sure if same was for all 7 days a week.

Did they make the airplane bigger and reduce frequency thus?

Because they're retiring a330/772. I checked google flights and its permanently 5 daily flights. Hopefully PIA/Air blue and shaheen can take some passengers as a result! Otherwise the void will be filled by qatar/saudi/fly dubai etc.

Understood. However, PIA may be able to lure around 30% of Emirates customers, but around 70% of EK pax fly Emirates but don't terminate their journey in Dubai. The 70% will slide towards Qatar and Etihad. As for the 30% who fly to Dubai with EK and terminate there, they wouldn't want to extend a 3 hr journey into a 7-hour 1-stop journey, and hence would choose FlyDubai, Shaheen, and especially PIA.

I think reduction of frequency also has to with the increase in Fly Dubai frequency who now operate 4 daily service to KHI
