Happy Seventieth Independence Day

When Captain Khalid Sehbai retired from Pakistan Air Force in the '70s and left for Canada, little did he know that he would return three decades later to serve his country again.

You see, when news of Shaheen Air's state of affairs reached him, he did what any patriot would do. He sold three decades of his economic success and injected all his earnings into Shaheen Air. Month after month, year after year, bringing an ailing airline to new heights.

Even though Captain Sehbai is no longer with us, his legacy, resolve and passion continue to inspire. So the next time you travel Pakistan's second national carrier, do remember that we might have the wings of a plane, but we also have the vision of an eagle.

They are right.

They mention the 70th day of independence not year.
The day of independence was is in 1947 so they count this day as well therefore this year its the 70th.
For sure if you count the years of independence than its the 69th Year of independence.
