Why do we keep comparing ourselves to India? Is that how unsecured we are?

India is a billion plus population. If 20% uk doctors are indian origin, it is because of huge indian population, and for example, they're like 5% of total indian population. If 20% doctors were Pakistani, they would be for example, 50% of pakistani population.

India is a big country and they have far more airports. In Pakistan, there are only 5-8 major airports which are very close that people are fine taking bus/trains/car and fly only when going international
But when there is only one or two major airports covering the southern parts of the country, for no real reason, we can say that something is not quite right with the infrastructure in place
Because people take bus or trains. Do you expect people to go airport 2 hours before departure, then 1 hour after arrival etc for a journey that can be done in 5 hours? Even then, the flight will be only once a day. Can people really fly during those times or choose to drive any given time?

This is why peshawar to lahore no flights. The aircraft just wont fill up.

This is one reason ME3 airlines are successful. They gather all the people from all over the world to faislabad in one aircraft daily. Meanwhile PIA cannot do faislabad to London, Manchester, Australia etc, forget daily flights. Only solution is connection which is really bad if domestic, so people choose me3.

What is needed is high speed trains (not bullet) which are very good so people can take those with a stop at airport. Pakistan is better suited for trains apart from some airports.

Uzair is correct. Though some people will choose to fly to their destination, many prefer to take a cheaper option or an option that suits their time of travel. Although PIA operates a LHE-ISB flight, many people would rather just take a car to ISB instead of a flight due to the cost, and just the entire hassle of reaching the airport, having to clear security, immigration, baggage, etc. They'd much rather just leave at their own relaxed pace, in their own car without having to carry out any pre-departure formalities, even if it means adding 4 hours of journey time. The same is the case with an ISB-KHI flight vs a train or bus.

Stop comparing yourselves to India. They are the third largest nation in Asia by size, and second in the World by population. Obviously there will be major differences.

Indeed. We should compare ourselves to egyptair, which despite having half the population of pakistan, has over 10 a330s, b738, a321s.

And for the naive, even though china and india gdp per capita is very low, they are going to eventually be bigger economy than USA, because 1 billion population making $1 a day is more than 300 million making $3 a day.

Maybe this PIA Premier logo can be painted on aircraft belly?

It looks too bland. Maybe a Pakistan, PIA or Pakistan Intl Airlines at the bottom, or even better, the Premier logo. Something like Emirates. You can tell an Emirates or British Airways plane easily because of the writing/ blue belly.
Otherwise, the A330s look like unpainted aircraft brand new from the factory. Maybe something like the 1990 livery, a Pakistan like the current livery or even a grey belly.

I feel sorry for the crew. It wasn't necessary for that man to be like that. I don't think many passengers realise that the aircraft have cabin crew on board primarily for safety reasons - they are not there just to serve customers - that is just one part of their role. Passengers don't realise that in an emergency situation, the crew have 90 seconds to get everyone off the aircraft and that the crew will be the last ones off the plane.

I understand that the passenger is travelling to go to his mothers funeral, but what was the actual problem... a delay?

If so the the captain should /would explain this and update passengers.

Apni airline hai iss liye issay zyada josh chara hua hai. :x I once encountered a 7hr delay with Turkish Airlines, a 2hr delay with Emirates and a 5hr delay with BA. Not one Pakistani had the courage to stand up and say something to the crew.
Captain might have been busy or preoccupied, thats why he couldn't make an announcement.
He said himself "I never fly PIA, I only fly Emirates." Theek hai Baba, you're not the only one who's a sworn anti-PIA flier, many are, yet PIA's overbooked. It's better if you fly Emirates and keep your trap shut instead of running down PIA, or any Pakistani airline, because you believe it's your God-given right as the crew and captain are Pakistani. Such people should be banned from flying.
