Today, Shaheen Air's fifth Airbus A319-132 registration AP-BNM departed as flight NL-5 from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport apparently as delivery flight to Karachi.

SAI welcomes fifth Airbus A319

KARACHI:
Shaheen Air International (SAI) has welcomed a fifth Airbus A319 to its fleet, a statement said on Friday. The new airbus enables Shaheen to expand its local and international routes, while maintaining their utmost standard of aviation hospitality for passengers, it added. It also commends the carrier’s dream to spread its wings and be a force for good through value creation that continuously unites and enriches the world. The Airbus A319 has been custom-fitted with thin and linear seats to provide added comfort to passengers, the statement said.

According to City42 news channel, total number of aircraft in Shaheen Air all-airbus fleet has increased to seventeen with the induction of fifth Airbus A319. The A319 is configured to carry 160 passengers in all-economy class layout.

The seventeen aircraft are apparently:

5 x Airbus A319-100
8 x Airbus A320-200
4 x Airbus A330-200

160 seats on a A319? This seat pitch would be very inconvenient for flights over 1 hour.

Standard for low cost carriers even in europe. The pakistani customer will only be more price sensitive so that 29 inch seat pitch isn't going to scare anyone off.

Shaheen Air A319s have 150 passengers not 160.

Today, Shaheen Air's fifth Airbus A320 i.e. AP-BNM began performing commercial flights for the airline when it departed from Karachi at 6:00 PM as flight NL-125 to Islamabad.

Shaheen Air International receives its Sixth Airbus A319

KARACHI:
Shaheen Air International (SAI) has inducted another Airbus A319 into its fleet.

The sixth Airbus A319 allows SAI to expand on its local and international routes, while providing passengers the highest standards of service and reliability, a statement of the airline said on Thursday.

It said that the Airbus A319 has been custom-fitted with thin and linear seats to provide added comfort to passengers. Due to this, it can accommodate around 150 passengers in its all-economy segment.

Upon the induction of the new aircraft, Zohaib Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer, Shaheen Air International remarked `We are constantly looking to expand our fleet size, as we set our sights towards new local and international destinations.

With the addition of the sixth Airbus, we will grow by way of new routes.

The airline is slated to receive one more aircraft of the similar model in the coming months.
