Narcotics Recovered from PIA Boeing 777 at Karachi Airport

According to news sources, after receiving information, officials of Pakistan Customs and Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) raided a PIA Boeing 777 aircraft at Karachi Airport and recovered 1 kg of heroin concealed in lavatory panels.

The aircraft had arrived in Karachi at 9:02 PM on June 3 as flight PK-762 from Jeddah and apparently someone was unable to collect/deliver packet(s) of narcotics from the aircraft at Jeddah where it arrived from Pakistan.

After arriving in Karachi from Jeddah, this aircraft was scheduled to perform a flight to Lahore but now the aircraft has been sealed by authorities who are searching it with possibility of finding more hidden narcotics. From Lahore the aircraft was scheduled to perform flight to Jeddah. Probably flight PK-312 at 11:00 PM on June 3 from Karachi to Lahore & PK-759 at 4:30 AM on June 4 from Lahore to Jeddah? Departures of both flights i.e. PK-312 and PK-759 are delayed.

According to information on following link, PIA Boeing 777-240ER registration AP-BGJ arrived in Karachi as flight PK-762 from Jeddah. Earlier AP-BGJ had performed flight PK-761 from Karachi to Jeddah.

The Boeing 777 have been moved to a hangar at Karachi Airport for further search by authorities, according to latest reports.

Few days ago, heroin was recovered from another PIA aircraft that also had arrived in Pakistan from Jeddah and it is the third incident within two weeks in which narcotics have been recovered from a PIA Boeing 777. In earlier two incidents 27 kg (details: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=24411) and 2 kg of narcotics were recovered from PIA Boeing 777s, according to news sources.

On June 2, AP-BGJ performed PIA Karachi to Jeddah flight PK-731 & Jeddah to Karachi flight PK-732.

The aircraft was scheduled to perform flight PK-312 from Karachi to Lahore after arriving in Karachi as flight PK-762 from Jeddah, according to ARY News channel.

I fear this might be happening for a long time and maybe the authorities have started taking action ? When my GrandFather (Late) was working in PIA , his friend found gold inside an aircraft hidden, co-incidentally it was lunch-break so the hangar was empty except my GrandFather's friend, he took all the gold home =D>

Apparently AP-BGJ has been released by authorities, today the Boeing 777-240ER departed from Karachi at 4:23 PM as flight PK-308 to Islamabad.

Maybe ANF and/or PIA should get services of sniffer dogs to perform random/surprise checks of airliners performing international flights from Pakistan.

According to newspaper reports:

On June 3, after receiving information, customs officials searched PIA Boeing 777-240ER registration AP-BGJ parked on bay number 25 of Karachi Airport and recovered a black polythene packet containing 700 grams of light brown heroin powder.
