Pakistan to Buy AgustaWestland AW139 Helicopters for Search & Rescue Duties

Pakistan has signed agreement to buy undisclosed number of AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters for search and rescue duties in the country. Delivery of these helicopters will start in 2017.

Were these helicopters selected through some bidding process?

There was a bids invitation in April 7 newspaper by Cabinet Secretariat - Cabinet Division for procurement of a twin engine helicopter for emergency relief operations and transportation of passengers.
