Hajj Flights Operation - 2016
According to news sources, PIA has reduced Hajj flights fares by 4,000 rupees. The airline will operate Hajj flights on not-for-profit basis
PKR 86,000 return fare including all taxes for Hajj flights from airports of Karachi and Quetta.
PKR 95,000 return fare including all taxes for Hajj flights from airports of Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan and Sialkot.
PIA will submit its Hajj flights schedule to Saudi authorities before April 22 deadline.

PIA Hajj flights operation will start on August 4.
Three PIA Boeing 777s will take part in Hajj flights operation.
PIA also has plan to acquire two 300 plus seater twinjet widebody aircraft on wet lease from August 4 to October 16.

when the flights stop inbetween, does PIA use the air craft on other routes or they sit idle until return flights?

airblue will transport five thousand intending pilgrims.
Shaheen Air will transport fifteen thousand intending pilgrims.

Shaheen Air Hajj flights - 2016 operation will start on August 4. The airline will operate Hajj flights from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan. A total of 28,000 intending pilgrims will be carried by Shaheen's 128 pre-Hajj flights to Saudi cities of Jeddah and Medina.
Shaheen Air's Airbus A330-300, Airbus A330-200, Airbus A321-200 and Airbus A320-200 aircraft will take part in the operation.

Shaheen Air pre-Hajj flights operation will start on August 4 and end on September 2.

Around fifty thousand intending pilgrims will be transported by PIA flights from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.

Hajj flight operations starting from 4th August, whats the status of the wet lease aircrafts? Or PIA will get Sri Lankan A330 before 4th August on dry lease?

Provision of services for management of Hajj operations 2016 through outsource contractor
Sealed bids are invited from registered firms/contractors having experience for providing meeters/greeters and hospitality management services to large entities like airports or private enterprises including multinational organisations. Similar services are required to be extended to Airport Managers during Hajj Operations - 2016 at:

Benazir Bhutto International Air Port (BBIAP) - Islamabad

This year PIA using more efficient airplanes. Less passengers are fine as long profits are higher than previous year.
