Too bad the flight wasn't heading towards Qatar or London.

Let's hope that the Pakistani authorities would share their details with the Qatari/ British authorities so that when they land back in Britain, the police here detain & bring charges against these scums for endangering lives on an aircraft and causing damage to the aircraft & staff.

I'd love to see them being banned by all the major airlines for an indefinite period of time.
The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion,
SubhanAllah

What I understand from newspaper report is that decorative cabin window frame/shade or cabin wall fitting was cracked/damaged by passenger's kicks and punches. The passenger was shown with bandaged right hand by City42 news channel.

And, it seems the aircraft was on the ground at Lahore Airport when these two passengers clashed with the crew.

According to City42 newspaper:

The two passengers who clashed with Qatar Airways crew are British nationals of Pakistani origin and were travelling from London to Islamabad via Doha to attend funeral of a family member.

The two adult male passengers (father & son) became angry when the aircraft landed at Lahore Airport. The flight was diverted to Lahore due to bomb alert at Islamabad Airport. Both passengers clashed with flight crew and misbehaved with a female attendant. The son punched and kicked cabin window fittings and damaged them.

The crew informed Airports Security Force (ASF) who arrested the two passengers and handed them over to the police. A case has been registered against both passengers.

Other passengers of the flight traveled from Lahore to Islamabad by road. The aircraft departed from Lahore to Doha.

Interestingly, the hoax bomb call at Islamabad Airport was also received from a phone call made from London, according to news sources. Authorities are now trying to trace the caller from London. The called had said that bombs will be placed in a number of aircraft operating international flights from Islamabad Airport.

If this was the case, we can understand the reason of their eager. To miss the funeral of a family member is very much pain full when u reaches country but stuck by any kind of such situation.

But they should not damage aircraft in any case.

Not really fixed and usually business but quite often just because I like flying and for leisure :D Sad thing is they swapped equipment and I got an A321.

Also, I am sure they wouldn't have acted like this on flights to more 'organized' countries.
PIA, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Lufthansa, BA, Turkish, American, AirBerlin, Thai, Air France, Delta, Korean, Qantas, and many more. :D
