Construction of a completely new runway instead of repairing exiting runway(s) with patch work at Lahore Airport is suggested in news report on following link:
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) tender notice in December 16 newspaper for provision of substitute circuit for secondary runway airfield lighting (AFL) at Lahore Airport.
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) tender notice in March 2 newspaper for replacement of existing damaged perimeter fence towards Nadirabad at Allama Iqbal International Airport - Lahore.
Location of Nadirabad near Lahore Airport Runway 36R.
Remember that particular area. Back in mid 90's we used to go and stand right outside the perimeter fence to watch take offs and landings. Askari colony is near by so soldiers knew us. Those were the days.
