Only Runway 36L can be used for Landings and Takeoffs but with restrictions. For example Lhe-YYZ flight cannot takeoff on 2.9km runway. It requires minimum 3000 meter runway. Flights to UAE, Saudia, Or Europe can be managed.
I am still wondering about my tomorrow's flight by Emirates 623 due to fly at 3:30am. No updates from airline, agent or email so far regarding chanding in schedule or cancellation.

Thanks for the information Abbas Bhai.
Is there any website from where we can find any sort of info regarding changing in operational hrs (if any) for Lahore airport.

A news channel quoted an unnamed official saying that jumbo flights (probably he meant to say fully loaded Boeing 747?) will not be possible during closure of main runway. The official added that currently none of the airlines is operating jumbo for passengers flights at Lahore Airport.

I guess it means airlines will be able to use wide-body aircraft like Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft on secondary runway of the airport.

I don't think this repair work is going to disturb or damage ILS CAT-IIIB lighting system recently installed for Runway 36R.

All aircrafts till Boeing 777 are landing and taking off from 36L irrespective of the load on a particular flight. Before the closure of 36R some work has also been done on 36L to make it suitable for bigger aircrafts like 777 so yeah 36L is good to go for all aircrats except for boeung 747 obviously.

^ Interesting! Could it be old ILS CAT-II removed from Runway 36R and installed on Runway 36L?
