According to news sources, today PIA office in Delhi was attacked by activists of militant Hindu organisation Bajrang Dal.

Office windows, furniture, computers, counters damaged.

PIA staff is safe.

According to latest reports, PIA has suspended its Lahore to Delhi flight PK-270. The airline will resume service after consulting with Pakistan Foreign Office.

According to a PIA spokesperson's statement on news channels, situation at PIA office in Delhi has returned to normalcy.

The incident is not going to affect PIA flight operations for India and tomorrow (January 15) PIA Lahore to Delhi flight PK-270 will be operated according to schedule.

I think Delhi police provides security to PIA office during work hours and that's why police was able to catch the attacker quickly.

Charged Activists Attack PIA Office New Delhi - Flight Operation Not Affected

Lahore; January 14, 2016 - A group of charged activists, raising anti-Pakistan slogans, attacked PIA's office in New Delhi this afternoon and damaged the office as well as computers. Police was informed immediately which arrived at the venue and brought the situation under control, arresting one person. Staff of PIA remained unharmed. PIA's flight operation to India is not affected and PK-270 will operate as per schedule tomorrow.

They should move office to inside a high security office building, rather than have it on roadside location.

Back in the 80s offices of Air France and Saudia were bombed in Karachi, infact Saudia was attacked twice eventually they moved to a secure location inside a building, AF maintained theirs on the main road till around 2004 then they too went inside a building, I think even Qatar Airways is inside a building now, no signage showing.

One of my company's offices is in the same building and same floor as PIA. There had been huge security presence during the first 10 days of January which was later reduced.

The office is on the 5th floor and most of the employees are locals. This incident is shameful and strict legal needs to be taken against the culprits who by the way are paid hooligans. The real planners of this incident will get way scot free.
