Re: airblue to Induct Four Airbus A321 Aircraft
First one will be registered in Pakistan as AP-BMN and will be ferried from Teruel Airport, Spain, to East Midlands Airport in UK to get painted in airblue livery.
Information about A321 construction number not available at the moment.

Probably following four Airbus A321-211s with sharklets and powered with CFM56 engines.
Construction number 5966 built in 2014. Last known operator UTair with registration VQ-BRT.
Construction number 6016 built in 2014. Last known operator UTair with registration VQ-BRS.
Construction number 6067 built in 2014. Last known operator UTair with registration VQ-BTX.
Construction number 6119 built in 2014. Last known operator UTair with registration VQ-BTW.
All four aircraft currently configured to carry 220 passengers in all-economy class layout.

Re: airblue to Induct Four Airbus A321 Aircraft
Airbus A321-211 construction number 5681 is going to become AP-BMN for airblue.
A321 c/n 5681 last know operator was UTAir and it flew under Anguilla registration VP-BPS.
The A321 is currently configured to carry 220 passengers in all-economy class layout. The aircraft has wingtip fences and was built in year 2013.
Other three A321-211s to join airblue probably:
Construction number 5733 built in 2013. Last known operator UTAir with registration VP-BPP. To become AP-BMO for airblue?
Construction number 5779 built in 2013. Last known operator UTAir with registration VP-BPO. To become AP-BMP for airblue?
Construction number 5919 built in 2013. Last known operator UTAir with registration VP-BPC. To become AP-BMQ for airblue?
All powered with CFM56 engines.

^ why not new locations instead of going on routes PIA already serves...
These planes will be perfect to serve Pakistanis in Germany and other similar countries, or places where PIA's b777 are too much to serve.

Re: airblue to Induct Four Airbus A321 Aircraft
^ Apparently because airblue IATA two-letter code was changed from "ED" to "PA".
I think they cannot get aircraft registered with AP-PA* prefix.
I believe AP-PA* prefix series is reserved for registration of aircraft built by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) and/or Pakistan Government aircraft.
VP-BPS carefully stored at Teruel Airport, Teruel, in Spain photographed on September 13, 2015.

Built age, February-May. So all are less than 2 years old.Abbas Ali wrote:Probably following four Airbus A321-211s with sharklets and powered with CFM56 engines.

Re: airblue to Induct Four Airbus A321 Aircraft
Update/correction:
AP-BMN of airblue is Airbus A321-211 construction number 6016 built in 2014. Ex-operator UTair with registration VQ-BRS.
The A321 has sharklets.
VQ-BRS stored at Teruel Airport, Spain, photographed on December 15, 2015.
VQ-BRS Airbus A.321 ex UT Air by TIM BRYAN, on Flickr
On January 23, AP-BMN arrived from Teruel Airport, Spain, at East Midlands Airport, UK, as airblue ferry flight PA-9001 to get painted in airblue livery.
Source: flightradar24.com
Apparently airblue ferry flight number PA-9001 indicates it was flown by airblue pilots from Spain to UK.

Re: airblue to Induct Four Airbus A321 Aircraft
^ Currently Pakistan aircraft registrations are going through AP-BM* sub-series of AP-B** aircraft registration series on a first come, first served basis.
Pakistani aircraft registrations began with AP-A** series and first aircraft registered in Pakistan was AP-AAA (a Douglas C-47 Skytrain of Orient Airways).
Customised aircraft registrations i.e. prefix AP- followed by three letters of registrant's choice also possible depending on availability/permission from authorities. Customised registration example is AP-DON - a Eurocopter EC130 B4 registered for Princely Jets.
