PIA ATR 42 Carries PM Sharif to Chitral

Post by Abbas Ali »

Today, PIA ATR 42-500 registration AP-BHO flew to Chitral with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif onboard. In Chitral, PM Sharif will receive briefing on relief operations for people affected by earthquake that struck Pakistan on October 26.

AP-BHO probably flew from Peshawar to Chitral. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Parvez Khattak and other officials were also aboard the turboprop aircraft.

Is PAF CN235 or Saab 2000 a better option than ATR?. That would not affect PIA's commercial operations. And better still use helicopter, its 1:15 mins from OPRN and 55 mins from OPPS!

No political comments please.

In the recent past PAF C-130s also carried VIPs to airports like Gilgit.
