Yes Coyboy. I saw the above Saudia uniform at KHI.
Why does Shaheen not supply the cabin crew with black Burqahs/shuttlecocks... that will be more in keeping with the culture here!

seems a shame that shaheen look to have increased their fares for the UK school holiday periods, just as PIA always do. When shaheen announced the route the management were saying they were going to look after the public and keep fares down. But in the end, hiking prices up makes them just as bad as PIA, whereas the middle eastern carriers still provide good value. Even Turkish airlines have some good fares.......I've just booked return flights to Islamabad in AUGUST school holidays, returning 4th September for just £370. It's about time our own carriers followed suit.

I'd say you're lucky. Irrespective of airline LHR-KHI always seems to have a greater price in holiday periods.

Granted, 4th of September is quite late by UK standards for holidays. Would the price have been the same had you pulled the dates five days back?

When SAI launched in the UK, they had a lot of bookings for the Summer holidays for around 400GBP return. The outbound and return was for the peak season - going out end of July, coming back 1st week of Sept. At the time, all other airlines were charging at least double this.

Naturally like all airlines, they will have a revenue management system in place and so fares will increase with demand and as the flights fill up.
To expect them to offer cheaper fares regardless of season and flight load is unfair.

Shaheen have now launched a 4th flight (Saturday) due to the demand. If you look at flights on these days, they are slightly cheaper than the other days.

The carriers don't own you free lunch. They can charge as they please. It's not a charity. Shaheen will try to make maximum profits so it can expand its fleet.

As plane fills, the price on seats go up.

How can they launch 4th flight? Cuz new plane coming or it was idling for 1-2 days before?

Hopefully they do 7 days a week!

One very positive thing brought about by this route (beyond connectivity benefits and ticketing barriers), is that this is one of a few times where an airline has entered the UK by first going to northern airports instead of southern ones. Although this inevitably high risk compared to going to London, this will be a huge catch for shaheen if this ends up being a precursor to aviation of the "northern powerhouse".
