Canadian national Maurice McGregor was PIA's first General Manager (the post equivalent to Managing Director today in PIA). He was in PIA from 1954 to the end of 1956.

As far as I know, McGregor found great difficulty in getting along with the government and specially the Ministry of Defence and the Civil Aviation Department, and left PIA in 1956.

PM knows very well about German appointment, this is just drama to appease others. Its more than likely foreigner came in on both his and hidden investors demand and was selected over other qualified locals. even if they merited the post
