Didnt know there is so much traffic to Bahrain, what were PIA doing all this time flying twice weekly 737 only from KHI then LHE as well now just LHE.

Gulf fares are cheap and they don't have a lot of planes, so they mostly fly LHR/FRA with their a330s. And because the new cities are not covered by all ME airlines, it will benefit them as passengers won't travel to nearby airport to catch other airlines.

Sadly they don't fly to FRA with an A330 anymore but only with an A320. Same for CDG.
As far as I know LHR is the only European Destination operated by an A330.
