Qatar Airways B787 Visiting Karachi Airport

On 3rd September 2015 Qatar Airways flight QR604 will be operated by B787. I think its the first visit of B787 to any airport in Pakistan. It will arrive at 02:10AM (4-9-2015) LT.

Yes, I believe this is the first B787 to fly to Pakistan. I checked it up and it's not daily I think twice or thrice every week or so they will fly the 787 here. That may increase. This may inspire Etihad to launch their 787 here as well. Competition for EK.

Terrible news for PIA. It's not like many people flew to Doha with PIA before, now it will go down even more. Perhaps if we induct the 787 as well we might once again be back in business. <3

Do you know why or are they actually planning to fly the 787 regularly here?

It was Boeing 77W today to Karachi. B787 was suppose to visit Lahore once but it didn't. The reason understood is that ground handling agencies in Pakistan still don't have APU/GPU required for these B787. In case of Qatar it is RAS with not having relavent equipment.

Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner registration A7-BCW is airborne as flight QR-604 from Doha to Karachi.

A7-BCW was delivered to Qatar Airways and flown from Everett to Doha on September 2 (yesterday). So, QR-604 is first commercial flight for this Boeing 787.

A7-BCW was used for the flight and it was the first flight of the aircraft for Qatar Airways. It was delivered on 2nd September.
