Cabin Temperature Makes PIA Flight PK-701 Passengers Uncomfortable at Islamabad Airport

Post by Abbas Ali »

According to news channels, high/hot cabin temperature due to some technical problem in the aircraft made passengers of Manchester-bound PIA flight PK-701 feel uncomfortable at Islamabad Airport.

Passengers have been off-loaded and efforts are being made to remove aircraft's technical problem.

PK-701 was scheduled to depart from Islamabad at 2:50 PM and it already has suffered delay of more than five hours.

Flight PK-701 has been cancelled, according to information on following link:

Probably PIA Boeing 777-340ER registration AP-BHV was the aircraft with technical problem?

^ Yes, most likely ferry flight because flight number PK-3192 is not regularly used by PIA.

Its not basically the aircraft problem ...
Actually none of the AC vans are functional at Islamabad, therefore the cabin temperature is high and gets suffocated upon boarding of pax.
Moreover APU was U/S on BHV hence no packs available on ground during boarding.
Now CAA has put restriction on PIA aircrafts operating to ISB with U/S APU.
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return !

Today, PIA Boeing 777-240ER registration AP-BHX departed from Islamabad at 2:29 PM as flight PK-701 to Manchester.

Apparently airline's Boeing 777-340ER registration AP-BHV is still in Karachi after arriving there at 1:15 AM as ferry flight PK-3192 from Islamabad.

If it was not an aircraft problem, was definitely an airline problem. How could they go for boarding if no AC van was available and APU non-ops?????
It should have been a non starter from the begining.

KLM equipment service is looking to get rid of some of their GPU's, altough I am not sure if PIA really is in need of some new one.
