Peshawar-bound Shaheen Air Flight NL-724 Lands in Lahore

According to City42 news channel, Shaheen Air Airbus A330-301 registration AP-BKL performing flight NL-724 from Riyadh to Peshawar has landed at Lahore due to suspension of night flight operations at Peshawar Airport.

Flight NL-724 was scheduled to arrive at Peshawar Airport at 3:15 PM but the flight departed from Riyadh with a delay of more than four hours.

Night flight operations at Peshawar Airport were suspended after PIA Airbus A310-324ET registration AP-BGN approaching Peshawar Airport at night as flight PK-756 from Riyadh was hit by ground fire on June 24, 2014.

Shaheen Air flight NL-724 landed at Lahore Airport at 8:10 PM and it seems NL-724 passengers will have to stay at Lahore Airport for about seven hours? Or is Shaheen Air going to transport them by road from Lahore to Peshawar?

The flight landed at Lahore, why wasn't the same flight landed / diverted to Islamabad? It could've been easy for the airline if they had to transport passengers by road.

AP-BKL departed from Lahore at 4:26 AM as flight NL-724 to Peshawar and landed at Peshawar at 5:13 AM.
