Re: Your Flight Experience with Pakistan Airlines
On 3rd August 2015, I was aboard PK589 ISB-BHV-KHI.
1. Airline: Pakistan International Airlines
2. Flight Number: PK589
3. Flight Date: 03 August 2015
4. Flight Duration: 03hr 55min with 20min stay at Bahawalpur Airport
5. Airport names: Benazir Bhutto International Airport – Bahawalpur Airport – Jinnah International Airport
6. Seat number: 16A, 2L
7. Aircraft registration & model: AP-BKZ ATR 72-500
8. Profession: Aviation Professional
...at Airport:
Major changes observed at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad. A small shelter constructed at airport entrance gate for airport visitors, as only one person can go ahead of this with passenger. International departure a bit separated; left to the terminal building.
For the first time, passenger facilitation service counters observed outside and inside departure & arrival lounges with walking staff wearing orange color jacket entitled “For Your Help”. They were providing required information, and freely facilitating passengers as required.
Boarding was formal, but after that a security lapse observed when a passenger with a private facilitator bypassed scanning machine and went to waiting lounge. ASF security staff was busy with another local staff member who was trying to go ahead without required permission.
...onboard Aircraft:
Aircraft was PIA newly inducted ATR 72-500 registered AP-BKZ. Flight experience with ATR 72-500 was awesome; comfortable, very smooth & less noisy. It was my first flight in ATR-72 series aircraft. Cabin was looking neat & clean with new seats but carpet was not looking good. “Reclining” operation of seats was missing. Both cabin crew members were cooperative & helping. Meal was formal but good in taste.

After take-off;

This is interesting; should be discussed.

Re: Your Flight Experience with Pakistan Airlines
People complaint about PIA customer service, but i have never experienced any such lack in customer service while traveling with PIA since 1980s except on 2 ocassions. One time i faced problem while i was about to travel with my wife from KWI to LHE in Feb 2011 when almost all PIA flight crew went on strike, most probably due to the Turkish codeshare if i am not mistaken
Second was my flight got diverted to Karachi due to monsoon activity at Lahore and landing was not possible due to high surface winds, while staying at JIAP transit lounge for almost 2 hrs, PIA did not bother to serve breakfast or at least water for the passengers of PIA206.
Diversion to Karachi and disembarkation at gate 18 via mobile stairs
1. Airline: Pakistan International Airlines
2. Flight Number: PIA206
3. Flight Date: 1 July 2011
4. Flight Duration: 03hr 30min (with diversion and stay at KHI, almost 8 hrs in total)
5. Airport names: Kuwait International Airport - Jinnah International Airport - Allama Iqbal International Airport
6. Seat number: -
7. Aircraft registration & model: AP-BEB - A310-308
8. Profession: Non-Aviation

@reihans
Thank you for sharing your flight experience. You 've great photos collection.
Thank you for sharing your flight experience. You 've great photos collection.
Maybe you 've not experienced that but there are too many flaws in PIA customer services, like PIA Overseas Toll Free Numbers doesn't respond anytime. Cancelling/delaying flights, and putting passengers in different flights without informing them etc.. This is a routine practice. With all this, there is no proper complaint registration and immediate responsive system for passengers.raihans wrote:People complaint about PIA customer service, but i have never experienced any such lack in customer service while traveling with PIA since 1980s except on 2 ocassions. Re: Your Flight Experience with Pakistan Airlines
BTW, Urdu translation of the statement "No Step on Armrest" is wrong one, and doesn't meet with the requirement of "Understanding".
The main theme to write this statement is "Please do not sit or put a load on Armrest of seat", but in above mentioned a common passenger can't understand what it actually means. Maybe someone can understand in English but no one can understand this Urdu translation "Ahaata".
Someone told me that PIA send all such statements to a University for Urdu translations, and follow their recommendation. Unable to understand the logic behind this. The main purpose of writing such statements is "Understanding" that what to do and how to do, but when such translations doesn't comply with the requirement why to use them?
Urdu translation should be simplified for a common passenger which make some sense; maybe like this;
Translation-1;
Translation-2;
Translation-3;

This was by far the best journey because i sat on AP-BFY:
1. Airline name:PIA
2. Flight Number: PK-302
3. Flight Date : 24 december 2014
4. Flight Duration : 1hr 35mins
5. Airport name: departing from and destination : KHI-LHE , OPKC-OPLA
6. Your seat number : Don't quite remember
7. Aircraft registration & model : AP-BFY Boeing 747-300
8. Your profession : Nothing (I'm just 15) but i am an aviation photographer
Trip Report:
When i arrived on a cold morning at Karachi Airport with Family,saw the three private airlines parked side-by-side
After getting into nice heated Karachi Airport feeling cozy and warm we were welcomed with this PIA's Boeing 777 model
AP-BGL
I quickly walked towards the airside part of the buildings where we can see the airport.I went to see what's there for me to catch and suddenly got shocked to see this
