i think its a better idea to source aircraft from air asiaX. (its a larger , more well established and professional company). their A 330-300 are newer and are in a a good shape. i was wondering how mega maldives would be able to lease 2 b767 while they have scheduled flights to china.
the a330-300 has 12 business seats 2-2-2 and ?367 eco seats 3-3-3. believe me that with their slim seats its not uncomfortable!

Two Airbus A330 aircraft will be part of PIA Hajj flights operation this year.

On official PIA website, Boeing 767 appears as equipment for a number of PIA pre-Hajj flights to Jeddah from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Quetta.

The two wet leased A330 aircrafts will be positioned at Karachi as per below:

12AUG2015 / 9M-XXD (Airbus A330-300)
KUL-KHI Arrival at:- 20:00

12AUG2015 / 9M-XXG (Airbus A330-300)
KUL-KHI Arrival at:- 20:30

It seems PIA is leasing A333, B767 and B738 as per the flight schedules originating from Karachi.

PIA not using its own 777s for haj?

Leasing two A330s and two 767s.

Two AirAsia X A330-300(9M-XXD, 9M-XXG) have departed from Kuala Lumpur Int. Airport as flight D7 682, D7 684 respectively,to Karachi Airport.

According to the Flightradar24.

Does it matter, they are for hajj and substitute aircraft for regional flights at times, to be used three months maximum.

Both are five year old. The age of 9M-XXD is 5.8 year and age of 9M-XXG is 5.2 year. According to the Planespotters.net .
These aircrafts are in very good condition than Shaheen Air A330-300s and sole Air Blue A330-200(wet leased from Windrose) .

Today, AirAsia X Airbus A330-343 registration 9M-XXD departed from Karachi at 11:16 AM as AirAsia X ferry flight D7-680 probably to Kuala Lumpur after completion of wet lease term with PIA.

Her sistership 9M-XXG was ferried from Karachi to Kuala Lumpur on October 10 after getting hit/damaged by ground equipment at Karachi Airport.

Was lucky enough to spot the last Air Asia X A330 to depart KHI (9M-XXD) while dropping of a relative. :) :)
PIA, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Lufthansa, BA, Turkish, American, AirBerlin, Thai, Air France, Delta, Korean, Qantas, and many more. :D
