PIA Boeing 777-240ER (AP-BGL) departed from Karachi at 11:45 AM as PK-787 only ten minutes behind schedule; it's not a big delay.

 I know its not big but you know PIA. There always a story behind a delay for the airline. But yeah overall this delay could just be down to a small reason.

There are mostly two reasons for PIA's delay, VIPs or no aircrafts available.

a 10 minutes departure or a total 25 minutes delay doesn't make any difference, it happens not only with PIA but with emirates, etihad etc .. The reason could be cargo loading, boarding incomplete, late arrival or departure slot busy ... so we can't 'curse' PIA at-least in this case [-X

you do not forget this winter very strong wind headwind slow speed you know Air France 77W diverted to Vienna due to fuel burn out over headwind from Bangkok to Paris
20 years ago I flew AP-BEC PK787 from Karachi to LHR A310 diverted to Frankfurt due to low fuel because of strong wind.

This Jan one of the LHE-LHR flights took 9:43 block time instead of the scheduled 8:40 and many more took the same. You have to let go of such petty delays. As mentioned earlier, in winters the headwinds are strong while flying towards the west. So yeah.
