According to a local news channel, authorities at Islamabad Airport today recovered narcotics from a male crew member of PIA flight PK-791 from Islamabad to Birmingham.
The crew member is detained for interrogation.

Flight Steward Arrested In Heroin Smuggling Case
ISLAMABAD – A flight steward of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been arrested from Benazir Bhutto International Air Port (BBIAP) - Islamabad as he was trying to smuggle heroin to United Kingdom (UK), PakistanTribe reported.
Sources told PakistanTribe that steward of PIA flight was trying to smuggle a huge consignment of heroin but arrested red handed by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
ANF identified the flight steward as Irfanullah Shah son of Syed Nauman Shah from Swabi. Irfanullah Shah was using Passport No. CW5143283 and was flight steward of PIA’s flight PK-791 departing for Birmingham, UK.
Heroin was concealed in specially made vacum spaces of hand carry and passenger bag.
It was told by ANF that 4.5 kilogram heroin was recovered from the steward.
The sources in ANF said that after getting concrete evidences, ANF team started checking crew members of PIA and finally got the target.
The ANF bosses termed it as a big breakthrough, said that the ANF followed complaints of heroin smuggling by crew members.
The accused has been shifted to ANF investigation cell for further investigation. ANF further told that the accused has revealed names of other crew members involved in smuggling and national and international mafia involved in drug trafficking.
