PIA International Flights Cabin Crew May Go On Strike

According to Express News channel, PIA cabin crew has threatened to go on strike and refuse to perform duties on airline's international flights from tomorrow (November 25) due to non-payment of cabin crew allowances since past six months.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline's management is holding talks with representatives of cabin crew. The management is serious in resolving cabin crew allowances issue.

All international flights of PIA will be operated according to schedule, the spokesperson said.

According to latest reports, representatives of cabin crew held talks with Managing Director PIA who has assured issuance of cabin crew allowances payment schedule tomorrow.

On this assurance cabin crew has decided to postpone their strike till 5:00 pm tomorrow and agreed to continue performing duties on airline's international flights also.

First they get caught for trading personal items like mobile phones and Drugs and now PIA management is not paying them for free international leisure trips.simply Unjust.

So they must not be paid their outstanding dues for their leisure trip??are u going to forego any of your salary towards your employer?? That's their right and they should fight for that..Regarding the smuggling mafia there are very few of them who are involved in this but unfortunately it gives a bad name to all..hypocrisy is basically our national trait and this is what we are best at my friend

Things would have been different if we have learned how to serve the employer rather to "fight" for lucrative sector flights with the help of unions.

Unfortunately this is how it is.What can really be done is to ban political parties influence in these unions.there is no room of politics in a professional organization,having said that Employees Unions or Association's are also must in a free democratic country but then there is a certain code of conduct.
There are strikes in the airline industry all over the world but then it's how u go about it.In PIA unions are not doing what they are suppose to do I.e welfare of the employees but in fact they are trying to run the show..all these choora chamaars who should not have been in the airline are running the show by wearing either a Nawaz or Benazir Card.
I always wonder why everyone in our country is so much obsessed with politics maybe it has got something to do with lack of education or recreational activities..
