PIA has invited bids from Barcelona hotels for accommodation of airline's cockpit crew (two to four rooms a day) and cabin crew (ten to fourteen rooms a day).

Contract will be for two years.

Most likely PIA going 2X a week to Barcelona again. Adding Lahore-Barcelona flight to the PAK-BCN sector. This might be the result of having more A 310s available as the new aircraft arrive.

According to Geo News, PIA will operate its last flight for Barcelona on February 7.

Presently, PIA is operating once a week non-stop flight PK-795 from Islamabad to Barcelona every Saturday with Airbus A310-300 aircraft.

What an irony, Emirates just bump up Barcelona service to twice daily.

Nobody can match Emirates in the world with regards to frequencies and/or # of routes.
Emirates is taking over, in style.

And of course our PIA will be happy with once or twice a week to any destination =D>

load must have been really low for them to cut it.
I guess emirates/etihad/qatar can fill the void gently with all the Pak-destined passengers easily.

Must be lack of aircrafts too....can't send an A320 to Europe....
