PIA, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Police have denied firing incident and dismissed news reports as baseless.

PIA spokesperson has said that PK-218 from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar not targeted. The aircraft that operated flight PK-218 has now departed from Peshawar for flight to Riyadh.

Information on following link shows PIA Airbus A310-325ET (AP-BGO) operating flight PK-755 from Peshawar to Riyadh today. AP-BGO had arrived in Peshawar as flight PK-218 from Abu Dhabi.

According to Pakistan CAA spokesperson, crew of PK-218 has not reported any firing towards their aircraft.
