In a parliamentary committee meeting held in Islamabad today, irregularities violating PPRA rules observed/reported in awarding of contract for Quetta Airport terminal building expansion work, according to news sources.

Upgradation of Fokker Apron for Jet Operations at Quetta International Airport - Quetta
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) is planning to underake the subject work to develop and upgrade facilities in order to provide modern and efficient services at Quetta International Airport.
The components of the works in the project shall consist of but not limited to the following:

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) is planning to underake the subject work to develop and upgrade facilities in order to provide modern and efficient services at Quetta International Airport.
The components of the works in the project shall consist of but not limited to the following:
Civil Works:
- Dismantling and removal of existing concrete apron pavement.
- Construction of Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) pavement for apron.
- Asphaltic overlay on taxiway.
- Storm water drain.
- Pavement markings.
- All associated works with the components mentioned above.
- Dismantling of existing lattice tower and allied facilities.
- Installation of polygonal mast and flood lights.
- Provision and installation of apron edge lights.

Expanded terminal building of Quetta International Airport will become operational in 2018, this was disclosed by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi in Islamabad today.

Msharib Shipping & Logistics (MSL) transported two passenger boarding bridges by road from Karachi Port to Quetta for installation at upgraded terminal building of Quetta International Airport.
