Does it mean something like open skies policy across the country?

We can have a central flying training school run by CAA Pakistan established on the lines of the former PIA Flying Training Academy which opened in 1967. This could cater to the maintenance and flying requirements of upcoming aviation personnel in Pakistan who are not born with a silver spoon in their mouths. It is almost forty seven years since PIA introduced their Flying Academy and we can look back and follow the paths and careers of its students, who may not be flying now. The maintenance was A-1 on the Cessna aircraft which flew, so that not a single incident/accident occurred which can be pointed there. It produced academically sound future airline pilots and captains who rose to prominence even in the higher management structure of the airline.
There is a lot of talent in our youngsters and they are held back by finances. I couldn't have flown on my own and could never have become an airline pilot if such an opportunity had not been provided by PIA.

^ Foreign investors including airlines are expected to take part in bidding process for partial privatisation of PIA when the government sells/auctions 26 percent shares of the airline.

The successful bidder will also get management control of PIA, according to some news reports.

i think its about age of aircraft during induction in fleet, not applicable on aircraft already in fleet with particular age limit :-k

National Aviation Policy draft reviewed in a meeting chaired by Finance Minister today.

The new policy prepared after 14 years recommends tax exemption for investment in aviation sector.

Presently, only 8 percent of 180 million Pakistani population travel by air. The new aviation policy will encourage and increase the number of Pakistani air travelers.

Airlines and other organizations related to aviation were consulted for policy preparation.
