PIA Flight PK-340 Returns to Karachi with Technical Problem

According to news sources, an aircraft operating PIA flight PK-340 from Karachi to Faisalabad today returned to Karachi after takeoff due to some technical problem.

Aircraft type and nature of technical problem not mentioned.

Passengers will be flown to Faisalabad from Karachi on an alternate flight/aircraft at 5:00 PM, according to a PIA spokesperson.

According to information on Karachi Airport website, flight PK-340 is now expected to depart from Karachi at 5:30 PM. Flight's scheduled departure time was 1:30 PM.

It was the leased Airbus A320-214 registration OK-LEF that returned to Karachi as flight PK-340, according to information on following link:

PK-340 departed again from Karachi at 6:15 PM for Faisalabad, according to Karachi Airport website.
