Rockets Fired Towards Peshawar Airport

According to news sources, two rockets fired have been fired towards Peshawar Airport. One of these rockets fell near the runway. The other rocket fell outside airport boundary in Pushta Khara area.

Two airliners were present at the airport at the time of incident.

Some news channels claim that a rocket fell on airport runway and airport terminal building has been evacuated.

The rockets attack did not cause any human casualty.

After getting clearance from authorities, flights operation has resumed at Peshawar Airport and PIA flight PK-217 from Islamabad has landed at the airport. PK-217 is operated from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi via Peshawar.

Qatar Airways flight QR-608 from Doha is also expected to land at Peshawar at 2:30 AM.

Reports of airport terminal building evacuation due to rocket attack are untrue, according to latest news.
