The Boeing 777 landed at 10:58 AM on Lahore Airport's Runway 36R which is equipped with ILS CAT-IIIB.

Hassan, these are not NOTAMs but METAR of particular aerodrome and updated frequently upon changes in weather conditions at particular aerodrome.

And for further updates you can follow on particular link which provide raw format as well as detailed weather, just you need to change the aerodrome ICAO code, OPLA represents Lahore, Allama Iqbal Intl.

091500Z: Date (09) and Time (1500 UTC) of observation
05008KT: Winf direction (050 degrees) and Speed (08 Knots), if gusting another number is added after letter G indicating gust value e.g 05008G12KT
1000: Visibility in meters
BR: General weather condition, BR=Mist, FG= Fog, TSRA= thunder storm and Rain, OVC = overcast and so on
SCT040 SCT100: Clouds Type SCT= Scattered, BKN= Broken and number tells the cloud base , i.e 040= 4000 ft, 100 = 10000 ft
15/12: Temp , 15 OAT and 12 DEW Point
Q1016.8/30.03: Altimeter setting QNH in millibars/inches

According to PTV News report aired today (January 2), flight operations are going smoothly in foggy weather conditions at Lahore Airport.

An airport official said that diversion of about twelve flights during foggy weather reported by media were due to factors like aircraft not having equipment or pilot not trained for landing on runway with ILS CAT-IIIB facility.

Another official said that in next fog season diversion of flights will reduce further because airlines are upgrading equipment and training pilots for the new ILS installed at Lahore.

The news channel showed a Saudia Boeing 777 landing in foggy weather at Lahore Airport.

No published Jeppessen charts for CAT III B for OPLA yet hence no minima published hence no approaches,

There is a NOTAM of availability of CAT III B at OPLA only.

Lastly All companies Emirates, QR or EY publish there own minimas for every airport. Let's wait for basic steps of Jepp plates

With no published procedure, no published approved approach plates for, at a controlled airport ,based on the notice to airmen only, Is it legal for CAT III certified pilots to shoot approaches ?

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) tender notice in today's (January 14) newspaper for outsourcing (initially for three years - extendable) exclusive maintenance of secondary runway (patch work) during makeshift arrangement of upgradation work of CAT-IIIB at Allama Iqbal International Air Port (AIIAP) - Lahore.

Instrument landing system

LAHORE: Instrument Landing System CAT IIIB (ILS CAT IIIB) facilitated in landing domestic and international flights at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIAP), Lahore in extreme foggy weather from midnight to early hours, in lowest visibility as recorded 150M.

Six national and international airlines, Turkish Airlines TK-714, PIA flights PK-752, PK-710, PK-899, Airblue PA-471 and Qatar Airways QR-628 landed safely at the Lahore Airport. However, three flights were unable to land due to unavailability of the system in their planes, neither were their pilots certified.

This system ensures safe and smooth landing of aircrafts during intense fog and smog conditions, ensuring uninterrupted flight operations.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has already instructed airlines to adopt ILS and train their pilots on a priority basis for passenger convenience and safety of aircrafts.

Majority of the foreign and domestic airlines have landed successfully due to the system in place at AIIAP, Lahore. With the induction of this system, the airline will have both fuel and time savings; moreover, this will also help in avoiding delays and diversions.
