According to newspaper reports, following five organizations/companies offered aircraft to PIA under this bidding invitation.
* Standard Chartered Bank
* DV Bank
* Bank of China
* Air Lease Corporation (ALC)
* Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE)
None of the offered aircraft were built in 2010 or later as required in bidding invitation.
Some of the aircraft offered were built in 1999. However, according to DAWN newspaper report, some of bidders offered aircraft with deliveries starting in 2015 or later.
The Chairman PIA has said that the airline is looking to add Boeing 777s in the widebody aircraft category.
A new bidding invitation will be issued soon.
