Hope B747-8 or A380 lease to PIA inshallah ? because B747-8 built after 2010 no problem.

Realistic and rational choice under this bidding invitation should be used Boeing 777 family aircraft powered with GE90 engines for wide-body and used ATR 42 for turboprop because PIA already has these aircraft types in its fleet.

Used ATR 72s for turboprop aircraft can also be considered.

PIA should consider 77LR for the wide bodied - extending its long haul routes and ATR 72 to support its existing domestic routes.

I agree Abbas the 777 is the best option PIA would have - hope they get some offered.

Agree with Abbas! Common Sense should prevail, PIA Should get 777s but Updated IFE be it from Panasonic or Oryx & Utilize them on Existing Routes as well as Open New Connections as well, - Again ATR Would be a Good Choice based on the fact that PIA is already Operating ATR-42..

This tender seems tailor made for B773s and ATR 72s. Requirement for wide bodies is 390+seats! presently PIAs B77Ws are configured at 393 seats. ATR 42(if I am not mistaken) is configured at 42 seats and the requirement is for 48+ seats.

They would be delivered as scheduled. If these 04 are also delivered PIA might have a healthy fleet of 18 boeing 777s by the end of 2015.

The 4 widebody with 390 seats is aimed at 777-300s.

A fleet of 18 777 will fly where?

I think the five 777-300ERs due for 2015 are not going to be delivered.

They are planning to retire next year 747s. Maybe they'll use 772s as replacement of some A-310s?

They don't have the vision to aim at 2020.
