It was Shaheen Air A320 operating DXB-KHI with 115 onboard. Tyres burst created panic among passengers but not no injuries reported.

Aircraft tyres burst
By Bhagwandas | 1/29/2014 12:00:00 AM
KARACHl: An aircraft (Airbus 320) of Shaheen Airlines developed some mechanical problems owing to which it landed heavily on the runway bursting a couple of its left tyres of its main landing gear, said an airline official on Monday.
Responding to Dawn queries Shaheen Airlines deputy managing director Faisal Rafiq said all the 157 passengers, who were travelling from Dubai to Karachi, remained safe and disembarked and were taken to the terminal.
He said the tyres would be changed within an hour. He said the runway would be checked by CAA officials and would be opened within a couple of hours.
Airport manager Akhtar Malik, however, said the aircraft was Boeing 737 and was carrying 115 passengers. Since the situation of the aircraft, which was facing hydraulic problems, was known before landing it was directed to land on the secondary runway.
He said that due to hydraulic problems, the aircraft had to go for high speed landing that burst its two tyres. All the passengers remained safe, he said.
The operations on the primary runway were normal, he added.
