Re: Where is AP-EDE?
Air Blue pilot hold Pakistani pilot licence on Air Blue's Pakistan Registration flew back to USA then they passenger from USA to Pakistan but if different company or other countries any foreign pilot need get special permission Pakistani CAA licence fly on Pakistani aircraft registration otherwise need change from Pakistani registration to foreign or USA registration. Last 22 years ago I flew F-BVGQ A300B4 on PIA colour but my friend Capt PIA unable to fly F-BVGQ without special licence on French Registration that why he introduced me to his colleague flew with me instead until new registration AP-BEY. Evergreen USA bought 747 AP-AYW and got FAA temporary registration one month then American pilot flew new USA registration from Lahore to Preswick to USA in 2005.

Re: Where is AP-EDE?
I don't think most airlines can afford those A340's as they're gas-guzzlers, specially for Pakistani airlines.
Airblue's MAN operations with A340 were full of delays/cancellations/IRROPS very often.
Airbus aircraft in Pakistan go tech often, I guess due to lack of maintenance facilities or funds ? Few aircrafts mean there is lack of replacement aircrafts
