My mother flew SIA from KHI-ZHR-KHI back in 1985 and I also recall seeing those Interflug IL-62's reguarly fly over my house around 2-3pm in the afternoon when I got home from school. This was also in the 80's. It was a good time for aviation.

Abbas the hijacked plane was in cheatline livery according to TV footage from then.

SAS also served KHI till August 86.

I am going little backspace but during the 70's I'd seen UTA and Sabena's DC-10 and early 80's one the frequents was KAL B-747 making technical stops.
