10. Pan Am
11. Philippine Airlines
12. KLM
13. Royal Nepal Airlines
14. Saudia
15. Singapore Airlines
16. Swissair
17. TAROM - Romanian Air Transport

How amazing the terminal would have looked with all those tails of various designs, aircrafts of multiple types. So sad it's not same anymore

PIA was competing good at that time then why not now?

A simple example that i searched for mid July till end July 2014 ticket fare for 3 carriers, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways & PIA and found that KD 109, KD 112 & KD 142 respectively so how is it possible that a passenger will choose the least option PIA by paying KD 30 more over other cheap fares? This is where PIA need to address, rather than encashing all possible opportunities available through overseas Pakistanis!

Abbas I myself saw an SAS DC-8 departing for CPH from the same terminal I took my Swissair DC-10 flight to ZHR in June 1986.

^ Moin, this CAA notice is from October 1986 and probably SAS was not operating Karachi flights at that time.

Here are Karachi flights advertisements by some of these airlines.

British Airways TriStar flight - thrice-a-week from Karachi - ad from 1986.

Lufthansa thrice-a-week Karachi flights ad from 1979.

I liked this Swissair DC-10 six a week Karachi flights ad from 1986.

my old friend Captain Air France B747-100/200B/200F said he like love flying to Karachi but unfortunately Air France stopped ceased Karachi because they upgrade B747400 nonstop direct to Bangkok and Singapore and Hong Kong and captain & crew disappointed Karachi.

There are not many photos of Karachi Airport in 80s with all these different liveries. If you have any photos please post them.

Thank you.

In late July 1983 I flew SAS to London via Copenhagen on a DC-10. Perhaps they changed equipment later?

Also in the 80s I flew Philippines 747-200 from London (LGW in think) to Karachi via FRA.

These ads and the long list feels like rubbing salt on the wounds as no western airline serve Karachi anymore.
