Foggy weather hits Lahore

as my travelling time is near about, fog has started again i wish a good weather by 23/24 JAN [-o<

Ek 622 on hold and circling near LHE for almost 30 min. Any idea why?

Bad weather? fog or some problems at LHE?






Seems to be some problem at LHE. QR and EY are also on hold,

EK 622 diverted and on route to KHI,

PK 899 Kul-LHE also diverted to KHI,

QR 620 and EY241 still on hold near LHE.

BaDaR bhai LHE has fog visibility 36R 100 meters only 18L 100 meters vertical visibility 0 thats why all flight diverting to LHE.
Even departure traffic stopped they can not see anything.

Etihad 241 now requesting LHE control to flying back to AUH instead going to KHI.

Fog had also disrupted flights operation in the morning at Lahore Airport today.

fatah: Even if they used CATIII what pilots do after landing ??? they can not see taxi ways ... thats why CATII is enough fortime being ... my opinion .. also see comments of other brothers in this matter in this forums

I was wondering why Islamabad did not accommodate any diversions, even though the airport was open and planes landing (seen on FR24).

I understand they have limited numbers of parking bays there but could they not handle one or two extra flights?
Perhaps they cannot handle the number of passengers in transit?

EY Eithad good luck extra fuel for divert emergency same like TG Thai Airways my flight BKK-LHE 27th July 2010 HS-TEP tried to land LHE but failed diverted to Dubai DXB refuelled flew to KHI stayed hotel before Air Blue A321 crashed ISB. My old flight PK786 AP-AYW from LHR to ISB diverted to LHE old Runaway long time ago in Dec 1981 parked old Runway for 2 hours waited for ISB dry then flew to ISB.

I was on EK622 plane circled for almost 1 hour 3 mins over Lahore landed at KHI at 4 am they did not provide passengers for hotel accommodation as everyone was sleep deprived most of them was having flights from seattle and JFK, I Tried to offload they did not allow that and I went to Civil Aviation Health Department get the certificate and got offloaded after 6 hours due to their mismanagement they should have arranged everything when we diverted, flight flew at 1300 hrs to Lahore with new crew It was all messed up by EK for passengers
