Must be Turkish Airlines Airbus A330 VIP flight that arrived at Lahore Airport in early hours of December 23. The aircraft was Airbus A330-343X registration TC-JNN named "Selçuklu".
Turkish Prime Minister and his delegation arrived in Lahore for an official visit to Pakistan.
Presently, Turkish Airlines is not operating Istanbul to Lahore flights on Sundays.
They have used Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft for Istanbul to Lahore flight TK-714 in recent days.
It may sound plainly stupid, but can someone please confirm that Turkish Airlines still flies to Lahore on their own a/c and not a code share on Etihad or any other airline. I am pretty sure the pics were enough...
Actually my airline has agreement with Turkish airlines for Z-fare tickets. I went to their office and lady in charge pretty much refused to believe me. She looked up as her source as Expedia etc and it showed Etihad and not Turkish from Lahore to Istanbul. I wasn't ready for that so I told her that I will look it up, and research a bit.
She is right, Turkish airlines is not showing up on other website. However it does show up on their own website as operating 737-800 which obviously is not Etihad.
Anyway I am gonna push myself next time I go to the office, but before doing that, I just wanted to confirm if any of our Lahori spotters can confirm that its still Turkish Airlines aircraft flying to Lahore.
^ Turkish Airlines' own aircraft are operating non-stop flights between Istanbul and Lahore thrice-a-week, got this info confirmed by a travel agency in Lahore.
Ofcourse they are operating with their own Aircraft.
You only have to to search for Non Stop Flights from IST to LHE and you will find only TK Flights.
But you are right that you cant find TK Airlines Flight now on other booking engines except TK's Website.
Some days ago I find prices on other Booking Websites as well but now you are only able to book through their website.
You won find any Etihad Flights on that Route as all EY Flights would be via AUH.
