PIA Boeing 737 Suffers Bird Hit During Landing at Karachi

June 7 - According to local news channels, a PIA Boeing 737-300 operating flight PK-743 from Multan to Karachi suffered bird hit during landing approach to Karachi Airport. The aircraft suffered bird hit near one of its engines, according to a news channel. Probably bird ingested by engine?

Aircraft wing has suffered some damage, according to a news channel.

Aircraft registration probably AP-BCD - the lone active Boeing 737 in PIA fleet in recent days.

According to details on Karachi Airport website, flight PK-743 landed at Karachi Airport at 4:55 PM.

Flight PK-743 is operated from Multan to Madinah via Karachi.

According to PIA flights schedule Multan to Karachi sector of this flight is operated with Boeing 737-300. Aircraft changes at Karachi and Karachi to Madinah sector is operated with Boeing 747-300.

..........and till yesterday, we were discussing about the sole 737 being operated nowadays.

The good news is that AP-BCD is back because it operated Pk306 today with a delay of almost 2 hours. Lets just hope it keeps on flying and soon the other 737's join it soon.
