Removal of Business Class on A310
I read on a forum on facebook, that the PIA management is planning to remove business class from all the A310 present in the fleet. The first one to have it removed will be AP-BDZ. Is this true?

Re: Removal of Business Class on A310
might be a good idea.or keep a few with business class for international destinations
i guess the business class product on pia a310 cannot match other competitors.
i think even the 777 has too much of business class seats for pia.
they better fill it with max economy pax and get the revenue.
i think it works quite well with b747.

PIA used to have first class. It was taken away by IATA since it was not up to the standard. Now it is business class which has not match to its competitors. What's next?

They should retain the C cabin on their 308 and make the 324's all Y. Do it on only half the fleet because many of those planes fly to Europe and other international destinations.

I dont think IATA can tell airlines on how to manage their club class, or economy class or even first class. Very few airlines in the world maintain a first class anymore, most are club or economy.PIA used to have first class. It was taken away by IATA since it was not up to the standard. Now it is business class which has not match to its competitors. What's next?
PIA switch to all economy is a good idea, as most of its customers are economy travelers. I think only 777 flights should offer club class, as there must be strong demand from Pakistanis in UK, Canada and some European routes.

Re: Removal of Business Class on A310
I agree with Moin...as the A310 also flies to Destinations in Europe such as Amsterdam or Frankfurt they should still have a Business Class at least on that Routes.
But at the moment PIA still sale Business Class Tickets for PIA Flights with A310 (for example FRA-LHE-FRA in Oct / Nov 2013)

The particular aircraft shot in the above pictures by Aroosh appears to be AP-BDZ. The aircraft has returned to active service as of 05.06.2013.

Re: Removal of Business Class on A310
according to airfleet.net ap-bdz is the oldest one in pia.it is 22 yrs!
the interior seems decent.
i think its a nice move by pia for all eco layout but it shouldnt be on all the frames.
i bet they are goingto use it for a few more yrs

Apparently in recent days AP-BDZ in all-economy seating configuration has operated flights on following sectors:
Quetta-Islamabad-Quetta
Islamabad-Madinah-Islamabad
Islamabad-Karachi
Karachi-Mumbai
Pakistan-Beijing-Tokyo
Sialkot-Kuwait-Sialkot
http://www.flightradar24.com/data/airplanes/ap-bdz
No flight to Europe by AP-BDZ since June 4.
